The EX2-8K is a state of the art long distance HDMI 2.1 extender kit. The challenge of legacy wiring and complex signals has forced many to use a highly compressed 1 Gbps format instead of a higher bandwidth/higher quality device like the EX2-8K. Because of the distance capabilities of this unit, now you can get complex signals over existing infrastructure. The EX2-8K will support 1080p up to 150m, 4K (18Gbps) up to 120m, 4K (24 Gbps) up to 100m, and 4K/8K (40Gbps) up to 90m. In addition this device supports all the advanced features of HDMI 2.1b while featuring EDID management, RS-232 pass-thru, 2-way 12V IR, and optical/analog audio breakout at both the RX and TX. If you want a device that supports anything 4K and will work where other devices will not, the EX2-8K should be your “go to” HDMI extender kit.
Primary Use: Extending High-bandwidth 8K or 4K@120Hz. HDMI AV over long distances. Legacy cable applications in particular.
